2023 SST Educational Workshop:

Increasing the Impact of your Data in Toxicology Publications

This workshop is designed for early career scientists (i.e. currently a student, postdoc, or within 5 years of the highest degree). In case the workshop is over-subscribed a selection will be made with preference to current students/postdocs. Registration is free of charge!

The workshop will focus on best practices for ensuring the relevance and accessibility of data, and its potential for use beyond scientific publications, such as in risk assessment. The program will consist of short presentations, but mostly interactive experiences and discussions. Example topics and facilitators include:

• Open Data and Data Stewardship (Larz Schöbitz, ETH Zurich)
• The publishing process: An Editor’s Perspective (Shana Sturla, ETH Zurich)
• Avoiding pitfalls in controls and claims in your publication (Alex Odermatt, University of Basel)
• Making toxicological data more impactful for risk assessment end-users (Lothar Aicher, SCAHT; Christine Lorez, Syngenta)
